Do you want to find the perfect mascara? Don't believe those commercial adds. Most of the time models wear false lashes and Photoshop has been used. Here is some information about different mascara wands.

Curved wand

These brushes are a bit curved with longer bristles. They curl and lift your eyelashes a lot more and better than regular straight brushes. Make sure you apply this mascara by using the curved side to get the right effect. If you use the non-curved side this mascara show no effect at all. I use Iconic Overcurl by Dior if I want to have curled lashes. You can use; Cat eyes by Maybelline, Supercurl Curling Mascara by Uban Decay, etc as well.

The Tapered Brush

This brush is perfect to apply mascara on the eyelashes at the inner corner of the eye. The wand is pretty similar to the big volume brush but the tip tapers off into a point. This mascara gives, according to me, that 'Bambi'-look. It gives extra volume and length at the outer corners of your eyes. The one above is by Lancome and is calles 'Hypnose Doll Eyes'. You can also use: Lash Architect by L'oreal, Lash Doubling Mascara by Clinique etc.

Volume brush

This mascara wand gives you all the volume you need. The bigger the brush, the more volume and curl in your lashes. If the wand has a lot of bristles, the lashes pull closer together and creates a denser product placement. The mascara above is 'Le Volume De Chanel' by Chanel. You can also use: Volume Express by Maybelline, Max volume by Bourjois, Lash Queen by Helena Rubenstein etc.

Plastic comb wand

This wand is made out of rubber or plastic with little teeth evenly spaced all over the brush. These brushes are good for people who like lot's of definition and separation. Though women seem to dislike these wands because it can give a slightly irritating feeling to upper-and lower waterline. It can leave more mascara on the lashes than wanted due to the wand not picking up extra mascara. The mascara showed above is perfect for extra volume and extra black lashes. You can also use: Voluminous million lashes by L'oreal, Telescopic by L'oreal, Scandal Eyes by Rimmel, New Look by Dior etc.
